Introduction

Heat Song

My name is Danny and I live in South Florida. I go to the Universtiy of Miami. I also am a big fan of the Dolphins and Marlins. I like to give a shot out to Andy and Russell. They call me Puff Danny at work. I always beat them in basketball. I also wanna give a shot out to all my Miami Heat friends: My little sister Rosie, my Dad, Simon, Tom.

Blockbuster Trade

The Heat gets their man, Eddie Jones, the shooting guard from Charlotte that the Heat needed so badly in the largest trade in Heat history. The Heat trades Mashburn, Brown, Thorpe, James, and Buford, and get Jones, Mason, Ellis, and Davis in return. I think this makes them a better team. They get a shooting guard who let the league in steals who can guard Sprewell and Houston. They also get players who are not afraid of the Knicks. Mashurn and Brown were a big part of the team, but they were players who were scared of the Knicks. This makes the Heat the team to beat in the East.

On the eve of the NBA draft, the Miami Heat have traded guard Voshon Lenard and forward Mark Strickland to the Denver Nuggets in return for power forward Chris Gatling and the 37th overall selection.

The Miami Heat season is over now. I went to about 20 games this year. I took pictures of the Minnesota game on April 17. If you want to see them click here. The Heat had a good season though. They went 55-27 and took their second straight Atlantic Division title. We lost to the Knicks in the first round because of stupid Alonzo Mourning. But Tim Hardaway did average 26 points in the playoffs, third in the NBA. With MJ finally gone, the Heat will take it all next year. Have you seen Zo with his shaved head. He looks stupid. Go to the Zo's Summer Grove Homepage to see him.

Here is the starting lineup:

From Texas-El Paso,

6'0, number 10,

Tim Hardaway!

From Temple,

6'6, number 6,

Eddie Jones!

From Tennessee State,

6'8, number 14:

Anthony Mason!

From Central Michigan,

6'6, number 9:

Dan Majerle!

From Georgetown,

6'10, number 33,

Alonzo Mourning!

They are coached

by Pat Riley.
